These guys are one of the reasons I do what I do. The first time I saw them perform was one of the most memorable gigs of my life. I had been djing with Sol Carroll (the guitarist from the band) and he invited me to the gig. I was blown away. Here was a bunch of guys playing super groovy understated fat music live in my home town. It was a real awakening as I thought this stuff only existed on vinyl and was only to be found in far off places. Needless to say I have seen them play many many times since over the years and they are still one of the tightest and incredible live bands I have ever seen.
